SNAP and Hingham Youth Hockey are pleased to offer a learn-to-skate/learn-to-play hockey program for students with special needs. This session is offered to participants ages 4 – 22 who receive special education services. The program will take place on Saturdays at Pilgrim Arena.
Program Description: Participants may choose their own pace from the Learn-to-Skate class, in which they will develop basic skating skills, to the Learn-to-Play Hockey class, which will focus on basic puck handling and shooting.
What to bring/wear: A hockey or bike helmet and skates are required. Participants interested in hockey may choose to wear additional padding. Participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment, but it will be provided if needed (please indicate at time of registration if equipment is needed). Mittens or gloves are encouraged.
Registration: This program is open to students who receive special education services ages 4 – 22. The program will be limited to 20 participants and 1:1 support will be provided to students who require it.
